The event took place at the International Press Centre, located in the Résidence Palace, Wetstraat/Rue de la Loi 155, B-1040 Brussels, Belgium. The nearest Metro station is Schuman on Line 1. This venue is located just next to the European Parliament, in the heart of Brussels. The building is a luxurious apartment building dating from the interwar period which has been restored to the international cachet of which architect Michel Polak and financier Lucien Kaisin once dreamt. In July 2000 the federal government decided to create an international press centre in Brussels and decided to use the Résidence Palace in the heart of the city's European quarter. The opening coincided with the start of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union on July 2, 2001. Since then the International Press Centre Résidence Palace has become the meeting place par excellence for events with representatives from all across Europe and beyond.

Take the Metro Line 2, direction "Simonis" to station "Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet". Then change to Line 1, direction "Herrmann/Debroux" or "Stockel/Stokkel" and go to station Schuman. When you arrive at the station, just follow the arrows to the "Résidence/Residentie" and take the Rue de la Loi exit, which will lead you to the main entrance to the International Press Centre.
Follow the signs to Brussels city centre, then the arrows directing you to the European institutions in the Leopold district, where signs for the "Résidence Palace" will lead you to the International Press Centre.
